5696 The wildflowers bloomed again

The wildflowers bloomed again
And I still wait for
The consubstantiation
Of your tenderness in me.

And so, this way
my days passed,
The planets
Continued their dance,
The tail of the comet
Once again crossed the sky
And the constellations
Of Andromeda and Orion
Were seen once again
From the same
Observation point.

Flowery springs
And scorching summers passed,
Endless leaves
Fell in autumn
And winters brought
Their desolating cold.

My hope in your promise
Remained fresh
Despite time
And pain,
But life moves on,
And the longing
Of my mature eyes
Can no longer endure
Another day without your love.

For so long, I longed
To be free of loneliness,
To smile again
And feel once again
In my chest the drum
That beats like the flutter
Of a sparrow's wings.
